  • Vatican Not Over The Moon With New Twilight Movie

For today’s collision between pop culture and Catholic law, the Vatican is trashing New Moon.

The Vatican’s culture council leader, Monsignor Franco Perazzolo says:

“This theme of vampires in Twilight combines a mixture of excesses that, as ever is aimed at young people and gives a heavy esoteric element.”

“This film is nothing more than a moral vacuum with a deviant message and as such should be of concern.”

He’s right.  People should be concerned — about getting a good seat for the show this weekend!

Does anyone even care what the Vatican’s opinions of most movies are these days? I seriously, seriously doubt that devout Catholics are going to not watch this film because of this statement.

ahahahh. you know you are right about getting the seat! Pope needs to stop hating.
