  • The Moment Of Truth

Popsquire has a new favorite show — Fox’s “The Moment Of Truth.”  If you aren’t watching, shame on you, but here’s what you need to know…

On each episode, contestants have the opportunity to win $500,000 if they can answer “21 increasingly personal questions honestly, as determined by polygraph.”

The topics include sexual behavior, relationships, career moves, car accidents, and more.

Popsquire pop quiz: Can employers require lie detector tests?

The Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) generally prohibits most private employers from using lie detector tests, either for pre-employment screening or during the course of employment.

Subject to certain restrictions, the EPPA does permit polygraph tests for certain job applicants of security service firms (armored car, alarm, and guard) and of pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors and dispensers.
