TV Touched By The Law: The Hills
As y’all know, Popsquire will do anything for a blog post. And, that includes watching MTV’s The Hills! If you’re not watching, shame on you, but here’s what you need to know:
- It purports to be an unscripted, reality show about four girls: L.C., Whitney, Audrina, and Heidi.
- Whitney and L.C. have worked for Teen Vogue for two years, but Whitney decides it’s time to move on.
- Whitney scores a job at People’s Revolution to assist with “styling.”
- On Whitney’s first day of work, her boss assigns her to a task that may require her to work until 3 am!
Popsquire’s perspective…
They better be paying Whitney overtime!
California employers are required to pay non-exempt employees (i.e., assistants and non-managerial employees) on an hourly basis. Overtime kicks in after eight hours in one day or forty hours in a week.
Trusting that Whitney is being paid properly, Popsquire congratulates her on the Big Jump!
