To Pay Or Not To Pay: Real Housewives of New Jersey
The Real Housewives of New Jersey — they work hard for NO money.

Popsquire exclusively obtained the contract signed by one cast member in February 2008. Just like other reality show participant agreements, it gives Bravo power to own the ladies’ every move, but there still are a few surprise gems.
Unlike several other reality shows, the contract does not require Bravo to pay the NJ ladies talent fees for their appearances. Of course, they don’t need the money and likely would use it to pay for “bubbies” anyway, but that’s beside the point.
It gets worse. In addition to receiving no talent fees, they have to pay Bravo 10% of “any and all gross income…unrelated to the Series” that they earn for up to four years after the last episode of the series. Yes, you read that correctly. They pay Bravo, not vice versa.
On the positive side, however, the producers did agree not to film the ladies engaging in any of the following conduct without prior approval: “(i) showering/bathing, (ii) urination/defecation, and (iii) engaging in actual sexually explicit conduct.” Generous.
So, do you still want to be on a reality tv show?
