  • Popsquire Beat: This Week In Pop Culture And Law

The Popsquire Beat presents this week’s most entertaining collisions between pop culture and law.

    1.  Tyra Banks’ stalker gets schooled.

Brady Green was found guilty of stalking Tyra back in April.  This week, a NYC judge sentenced him to one year of probation and ordered him to enroll in an anti-stalking course called Project SHARP (Stopping Harassment and Relationship Problems).  First lesson: “How To Smile With Your Eyes…From A Distance.”

    2.  Customers serve Kentucky Fried Chicken with a class action lawsuit.

After Oprah Winfrey promoted KFC’s May giveaway — “2 pieces of grilled chicken, two individual sides and a biscuit” — the chain couldn’t keep up with customer traffic.  So, KFC handed out vouchers for free food on the next visit, but that isn’t good enough for some litigious customers who want the company to pay them back for the cost of printing coupons and travel, among other things.  Seriously.

    3.  And, for this week’s video collision between pop culture and law, Popsquire joins the likes of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz by participating in a NOH8 photo shoot.  Watch!

Have a good weekend.  Remember, please don’t drink and drive!
