Popsquire Beat: This Week In Pop Culture And Law
The Popsquire Beat presents this week’s most entertaining collisions between pop culture and law.
1. Donald Trump fires Miss California, Carrie Prejean.
Just when the controversy seemingly had died down, the Donald approved a decision to fire Prejean, because she allegedly did not fulfill her contractual duties. Poor Donald — he had to slap Prejean’s ass with a contract violation, when he likely wanted to slap it with something else!
2. New Kids On The Block sues impostors.
NKOTB filed a federal lawsuit against SM Productions, alleging that the company attempted to form a group also entitled “New Kids on the Block” in hopes of duping people into believing that this new group was the real NKOTB. In short, the NKOTB boys know the last thing the world needs is another NKOTB, so they’re doing something about it. Thanks, guys!
3. And, this week’s video collision between pop culture law comes courtesy of Mark Paul Gosselar. He currently plays a lawyer on Raising The Bar, but he is not ashamed of his Saved By The Bell roots.
