Popsquire Beat: This Week In Pop Culture And Law
The Popsquire Beat presents this week’s most entertaining collisions between pop culture and law. Enjoy!
1. Maury Povich gets a judicial ratings boost.
A Michigan judge has sentenced several dozen men so far this year to watch Maury as part of their probation for overdue child support. The dead beat dads must watch the show and discuss episodes with their probation officers. Of course, the courts are always behind the times — the rest of us have known for years that watching Maury is punishment!
2. Lindsay Lohan was robbed. Well, kinda…
After several conflicting reports this week, surveillance video confirmed that two men tried to break into Lindsay’s house, but were scared off by the alarm. The police showed up and initially thought the house had been ransacked; however, it was just very, very dirty. Seriously.
3. And, this video of Katherine McPhee proves there’s no need for additional paparazzi laws now that the homeless are here to serve and protect.
Have a great weekend. And, remember, please don’t drink and drive!
