  • Popsquire Beat: This Week In Pop Culture And Law

This Popsquire Beat presents the week’s most entertaining collisions between pop culture and law.  Enjoy!

    1.  Snoop Dogg is doing it lawyer-style.

Plaintiff Richard Monroe is suing Snoop for $22 million, claiming that the rapper invited him on stage and then hit him with a brass knuckle microphone.  Monroe says Snoop and his posse gave him a broken nose, a busted lip, black eyes and bruised ribs.  So, Snoop took the stand in a civil trial in Santa Monica this week to set the record straight.  Denying any violent behavior, Snoop said: “Your honor, I did not drop him like it’s hot.”

    2.  Tyra Banks is America’s Next Top Witness.

After hearing testimony from Tyra on Wednesday, a New York judge convicted Brady Green of stalking, harassment, criminal trespass, and attempted aggravated harassment.  Green’s sentencing is scheduled for June, and he faces up to 90 days in jail.  Finally, Tyra has a good reason to smile with her eyes!

    3.  And, for this week’s gag order, Popsquire presents newlyweds Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.
