Oprah Winfrey: 25th Season Will Be The Last
The end of The Oprah Winfrey show next year means more than just the end of a television contract.
It’s the end of an era, and Oprah knows it. During an emotional announcement on today’s show, she holds back tears and thanks the viewers for letting her into their homes for nearly 25 years. She says:
“I love this show … this show has been my life and I love it enough to know when it’s time to say goodbye. 25 years feels right in my bones and my spirit. It’s the perfect number, the exact right time.”
“Over this holiday break, my team and I will be brainstorming new ways that we can entertain you and inform you and uplift you when we return here in January. And then, season 25 — we are going to knock your socks off.”
That’s a lot of pressure, Oprah. Even a lawyer like Popsquire might cave under that kind of pressure. Just get everyone cars again. That never gets old!
