Neverland Ranch: Place Of Memorial And Burial?
The Jackson Family will hold both public and private memorials for Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch Friday and Sunday, respectively, but no one has confirmed a place or time for his physical burial.
Denise Brown, a spokesperson for the California Dept. of Consumer Affairs Cemetery and Funeral Bureau, tells Popsquire that the Jackson Family must comply with rules and regulations if they decide to bury Michael at Neverland. They must apply for and receive a “certificate of authority,” which could require hundreds of pages of documentation, including zoning permits and maps of the property.
The process could take up to four weeks to complete. Brown declined to comment on whether anyone has applied for a certificate of authority in this case; however, she confirmed that any decision will be made available to the public.
Popsquire will keep you posted.
