Katherine Jackson Can Challenge Michael’s Trustees
A Los Angeles judge ruled on Friday that Katherine Jackson can challenge the trustees of Michael Jackson’s estate without forfeiting her inheritance under the will.
Katherine’s attorney, Londell McMillan, has said numerous times that Katherine “deserves a seat at the table” — meaning that she should play a role in the future of MJ’s estate — and now she has an opportunity to get that seat.
The judge set aside a week in November to hold a trial on this issue.
The big question, of course, is whether the parties can work out an arrangement without heading to trial. The existing trustees, John Branca and John McClain, may be more motivated to let Katherine in now that there’s a possibility that one or both of them could be removed from the table.
