  • Arnie Klein Warned Michael Jackson About Diprivan

Dr. Arnie Klein may have summed up Michael Jackson’s life and death in one sentence while speaking with Larry King last night: “The rich and famous can buy anything they want to buy.”

Did Michael buy drugs that killed him and a family that made him happy?  Klein addresses both topics during this interview.

First, Klein said that he “knew at one point that [Michael Jackson] was using Diprivan when he was on tour in Germany” and “told him he was absolutely insane” for using it.  Compare this with what he told Diane Sawyer earlier in the day:

“I say that anyone who makes someone an addict or gives a person potentially dangerous substances directly to them to use, like propofol is a criminal…It becomes nothing more than a manslaughter, or something worse than that.”

If he felt so strongly about Propofol / Diprivan, why didn’t he stop the doctor from administering it?  Maybe it wasn’t his responsibility, but he did intervene to stop Michael from continuing with certain plastic surgeries.  Why not do the same with Michael’s Diprivan use?

In terms of the kids, Klein admits he donated sperm to a sperm bank, while continuing to say he is not the father “to the best of my knowledge.”  Then, he contradicts himself again.

At first, he says that “the most important thing is who the children want their father to be,” which was Michael.  He also says: “I don’t want to disturb this relationship in any way, shape, or form.”  When Larry presses him on the topic, however, he changes his tune and says that if he is the biological father, he would spend every day with them and “become their father.”

The ultimate question remains: Why is Dr. Klein talking about his former patient, revealing his personal and medical history?  There can be only one reason: because Michael was “rich and famous.”

So, do you still want to be rich and famous?
