]]> Kid Rock is going blog-a-listic on a Georgia judge…

For today’s whiny collision between pop culture and law, Kid is upset that Judge Alvin T. Wong won’t count his performances for the troops as community service to fulfill his court sentence arising out of a 2007 Waffle House brawl.

In response to the denial, Kid is ranting on his website and has posted the Judge’s contact information.  Among other things, Kid writes: “Apparently he thinks it’s more important that I do something else rather than sing, shake hands, take pictures and spend time with the men and women who put themselves in harms (sic) way to protect the very freedom he and all of us live by.”

NOTE TO KID: Naomi Campbell didn’t get to fulfill her community service by modeling for the troops.  She mopped floors.  You can, too!

]]> O.J. Simpson doesn’t want the whole nine yards…

In anticipation of tomorrow’s sentencing, which could come as early as tomorrow, OJ’s lawyers are requesting minimum jail time for his felony robbery and kidnapping convictions.  He faces life in prison, officials are recommending 18 years, and OJ is asking for six.

“Simpson has never previously been convicted of a crime,” the 61-year-old’s attorney, Gabriel Grasso, said in court papers. “Thus, he now stands before the court as a first-time offender.”  He’s right. It’s hard to swallow, but the lawyer is right.  Popsquire will keep you posted.

]]> Jason Alexander doesn’t see dead people…

Jason, who was married to Britney Spears for 55 hours in 2004, was sentenced to jail time after failing to complete a court ordered alcohol rehabilitation program for a 2006 DUI arrest.  According to TMZ, he failed to attend court-ordered morgue appointments and will be locked up until December 9.

Like Popsquire always says, courts don’t like it when people disobey their orders or violate probation.  It’s a guaranteed ticket to jail!

]]> In a sad collision between pop culture and law, Mark Ruffalo’s brother was shot in the head.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Mark’s brother Scott, a hairsylist, is clinging to life following a shooting in Beverly Hills earlier this week.  An investigation is obviously underway, and Popsquire smells an attempted murder charge around the corner.
