While the country continues to debate the definition of marriage, celebrities have no problem defining divorce.  From Usher to Kate Walsh, this is the era of high profile Hollywood divorces.  Catch up below.

Last month, Usher filed for divorce from his wife of nearly two years, Tameka Foster-Raymond.  The Atlanta Superior Court petition did not give a reason for the split.  They have two sons together, Usher Raymond V, born in November of 2007, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, born last December.  Foster has three sons from a previous relationship.

At least all of Usher’s kids were born when he filed for divorce!

A pregnant Kelly Rutherford filed for divorce in December and has been in and out of court battling for custody of the couple’s two-year-old son.  Amid the controversy, she gave birth to daughter Helena last month.

In April, the Milkshake singer Kelis filed for divorce from Nas.  Kelis was seven months pregnant at the time and asked for spousal and child support, as well as joint custody of their unborn baby.  Unfortunately, that bundle of joy may be the source of future legal drama.

Sometimes celebs have to spend a bundle on divorce because they can’t work out those “irreconcilable differences.“

Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford filed for divorce last month, citing “irreconcilable differences.”  They were married for nearly 17 years and have three kids.  Jane’s divorce documents say she wants full physical custody of the kids.

Terminator 2’s Edward Furlong married his wife Rachael Bella nearly three years ago.  They have a two-year-old son, but they can’t make it work either.  Bella filed for divorce yesterday, citing the magical “irreconcilable differences.”

David Alan Grier and Christine Kim got married approximately two years ago and have a one-year-old daughter.  Sadly, Kim filed for divorce today, citing irreconcilable differences.

Debbie Matenopoulos’ husband Jay Faires’ filed for divorce in November 2008, citing irreconcilable differences and marking an end to their five-year marriage.  They currently are fighting over the future of their $4.3 million home.  Jay wants the court’s permission to sell the house because he can’t afford to meet the mortgage payments.  If Debbie doesn’t cooperate, the judge will decide.

And, sometimes one person wants full custody of something other than a house or kids.

After only 14 months of marriage, Kate Walsh’s husband Alex Young filed for divorce in December 2008.  Since then, they’ve been fighting over money.  Mainly, Alex says that Kate won’t let him get his hands on her financial documents.  So, a family court judge ruled that ABC Television President, Stephen McPherson, may have to sit for a deposition and answer questions about Kate’s tv career and finances.
