- Hand of God: a 2006 film in which the story of a family’s confrontation with the church that betrayed them, and how they survived it all with their humanity and humor intact.
- Deliver Us from Evil: a 2006 film directed by Amy Berg that tells the true story of the pedophile Catholic priest Oliver O’Grady, who sexually abused potentially hundreds of children between the late 1970s and early 1990s.
- Sex Crimes and the Vatican: a 2006 documentary filmed for the BBC that details how the Vatican allegedly has used a secret document to silence allegations of sexual abuse by priests.
- Bad Education: a 2004 film by Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar that deals with sex abuse.
