This week brought us Lindsay Lohan’s ridiculous E-Trade lawsuit andJoe Halderman’s guilty plea after raising the so-called “Tiger Woods” defense, but the most entertaining pop culture / law collison comes from Lady Gaga and Beyonce. Watch as the duo engage in lots of illegal (and fashion forward) behavior in this video. Enjoy!
Check out Ke$ha at her junior high talent show when she was only 13 years old. Yeah, she’s totally pitchy, but that didn’t stop her from signing a recording contract!
For today’s musical collision between pop culture and law, watch John Mayer asking the following rhetorical legal question in his new video: “Who says I can’t get stoned?”
Today’s collision between pop culture and Muslim law is presented by the Black Eyed Peas.

Malaysia’s government has barred Muslims from a Peas concert next month because it’s organized by Guinness (the beer, not the book of world records). Although the Peas performed in Malaysia in 2007 without incident, the show’s official website now says that “the party is only open to non-Muslims aged 18 years and above.”
This is riddled with so much hypocrisy. Why not use a wristband system to ensure Muslims don’t drink? Or, if it’s simply the idea of doing business with a beer company, then why have the concert at all? And, moreover, are there Muslim employees who will be getting paid by the concert?
This is just one reason why government and religion should be separate.
Like a typical lawyer, Popsquire loves a good feud. Check out these videos of Beyonce’s Halo and Kelly Clarkson’s new single, Already Gone.
Do you hear the similarities? Yeah, so does Kelly.
That’s why she says she tried to stop the release of the single and is blaming the similarities on Ryan Tedder, the producer and front-man for band OneRepublic. He allegedly gave the same beat to Beyonce without telling Kelly.
For today’s collision between pop culture and Jewish law, check out this video by New York-based singer, Gershon Veroba. He’s all about converting beloved mass-market pop tunes into versions that his Orthodox Jewish fan base can appreciate.
This isRun from the Egyptians — a parody of the Bangles hit Walk Like an Egyptian. Seriously.
While being interviewed about his band, Billy Bob Thornton wants to outlaw questions about his acting and writing career, begging the question: Is he on some kind of illegal substance?
Australia’s Channel 10 is not gaga over the pop star’s Love Game video.
The channel’s in-house censors have given the video an M rating for “frequent verbal and visual sexual references.” Because videos must have a G or PG rating to appear on the channel’s Video Hits show, the video has been banned.
Of course, tv censorship means nothing these days. Kids just go to the internets.
As you know, Popsquire loves a good feud. And, so does Eminem! In his new video for We Made You, Eminem mocks pop culture stars such as Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, John Mayer, Amy Winehouse, and more.
