Yesterday, a Beverly Hills judge confirmed that Lindsay — unlike Khloe Kardashian and Brian Bonsall — is satisfying her probation requirements. So far, she has completed her required visit to a morgue and community service.
Next steps: (1) Lindsay must complete an alcohol education class; and (2) update the court by January 2009.
In celebration of Lindsay’s progress, Popsquire dedicates the NKOTB hit, “Step By Step,” to her. Enjoy!
According to People, Lindsay Lohan is facing a lawsuit for allegedly stealing a fur coat. Popsquire previously (and purposely) ignored this so-called “case of the missing mink,” but now that there’s a lawsuit, there is no choice. Here’s what you need to know:
Masha Markova claims that she attended a private party at a New York club with Lindsay on Jan. 26.
Masha then put down her $11,000 blond mink coat with other jackets at the party and thought it was gone for good after she couldn’t find it at the end of the night.
Next, while flipping through a magazine, she saw Lindsay allegedly sporting the same coat and directed her lawyer to contact Lindsay’s reps.
Two days later, the coat, smelling of cigarettes and booze, arrived at her apartment with a tear in the lining.
Aside from the obvious crime (theft) and tort (trespass to chattel), what are these girls doing with fur in 2008?!? To find out how to make a tax-deductible fur donation to PETA, call 1-888-FUR-AWAY or visit PETA’s anti-fur Web site FurIsDead.com.
In case you need a reminder about why wearing fur is bad, watch this video:
According to Perez Hilton, Lindsay Lohan’s reps are casting models to advertise Lindsay’s new leggings line. The casting notice, which purports to pay models with “trade,” reads:

Although it may be commonplace for people to work for free in the modeling and entertainment industry, it doesn’t mean it’s legal. With very limited exceptions, every employee must be paid at least minimum wage for all hours worked…and leggings don’t count!
Lindsay Lohan (sadly) is off the wagon, according to People. Although Popsquire is upset that People’s sources spotted Lindsay drinking “Grey Goose and Red Bull cocktails” over the weekend, it’s more upsetting to read that “the star sat at her table, chatting with friends and smoking cigarettes.”
Um, is Popsquire the only one familiar with NYC’s ban on indoor smoking? Fines for violating the smoke-free law can total as much as $1,000 per violation.
Would you keep working for someone without being paid for four months?!?
David Kim alleges in this lawsuit that he worked as Lindsay Lohan’s bodyguard for approximately four months without receiving a paycheck. Suing both Lindsay and her production company, Crossheart Productions, Kim claims he is owed $55,000!
Popsquire’s perspective…
Is Popsquire the only one thinking of becoming a celeb bodyguard? Who knew they made bank!?!
Kim likely has no grounds to sue Lindsay as an individual. In most situations, the production company is the employer, not the celebrity. People often sue the celeb for publicity and/or to pursue deep pockets. This likely is no exception.
If this man worked for four months for free, he is an idiot, but he still deserves to be paid. And, if he isn’t paid, maybe he should do a tell-all book. That likely will pay way more than $55k…
According to these court records, Raymundo Ortega, who is suing Lindsay Lohan for at least $200,000 in alleged damages from a 2005 car crash on Robertson Blvd, has dismissed The Ivy — not Lindsay — from the lawsuit.
Following is a quick refresher on the Lohan lawsuit:
On January 7, Ortega dismissed Lindsay’s production company from the lawsuit, which Popsquire previously reported.

There are only two dates remaining in this case: (1) Final Status Conference on March 21; and (2) Trial set to begin on April 7. These dates are quickly approaching, which leaves Popsquire singing this Black Eyed Peas hit…
Popsquire’s peeps have been asking why Kiefer Sutherland served so much more time than Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Nicole Richie, as described here.
Popsquire has the answers…
Kiefer did his time in the Glendalecity jail, as opposed to the Lynwood county jail where the starletts all did their time. City jail generally is considered much more comfortable than county jail. There are two catches, however: (1) you have to pay a daily fee to serve there; and (2) you have to serve the entire sentence.
In county jail, non-violent offenders often serve a fraction of their full sentence due to overcrowding. As a result, many people (including celebs) elect county jail. Although there are no guarantees, it typically results in a shorter jail term…unless you are Paris Hilton, of course!
According to these court records, Raymundo Ortega, who is suing Lindsay Lohan for at least $200,000 in alleged damages from a 2005 car crash on Robertson Blvd, has dismissed Lindsay’s production company – not Lindsay – from the lawsuit.
Popsquire worries about Lindsay, so he did some research on Ortega’s attorney, Robert G. Klein. Unlike Mark Kaplan (K-Fed’s attorney), there is no record of having a suspended legal license. Instead, it looks like this guy means business. He has obtained numerous verdicts and/or settlements totaling more than $1 million, as you can see here.
Don’t fret too much, though. Posquire was on the scene of this accident and isn’t convinced that Ortega is without fault for this accident.
As you desperately await next steps in this lawsuit, sit back and enjoy Incubus’ hit, Drive.
Quick catch up. Lindsay Lohan has been involved in multiple car incidents. For purposes of this post, let’s focus on the 2005 crash outside of the Newsroom Cafe in Los Angeles.
Raymundo Ortega, a Newsroom busboy at the time, claims Lindsay was under the influence of alcohol when they crashed and is seeking at least $200,000 in damages. According to CNN, Lindsay recently filed a declaration with the court, stating “I did not consume an alcoholic beverage or any type of medication or drug…”
Here’s the real scoop. Popsquire actually was on the scene at the time of the accident. I was in the Newsroom Cafe, heard the crash, ran outside, and saw Lindsay run into the store across the street.
Popsquire is no expert in accident analysis, but in my opinion, it looked like the busboy was trying to make a u-turn from his parking space instead of pulling out and driving forward. These bad driving manners could make it difficult for the busboy to beat Lindsay in court!
Any other witnesses to this accident out there? If so, let’s form a support group.
