  • Jessica Simpson Slams Melrose Place On Twitter

    November 2nd, 2009

Like a typical lawyer, Popsquire loves a good feud.  And, today it’s Jessica Simpson vs. Melrose Place 2.0.

    Jessica Simpson
    [Bauer Griffin Online]

Somewhat out of character for Jessica, she is slamming Melrose Place 2.0 on Twitter, posting:

“CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press”

Yeah, Jess, it’s totally the writing.  It has nothing to do with Ashlee at all.  Here’s the evidence:

    Jessica Simpson: Finding Miss Daisy?

    September 15th, 2009

This is beyond sad.  Jessica Simpson’s dog was taken by a coyote.

    Jessica Simpson's Daisy

Jessica posted this message on Twitter: “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”

Of course, Popsquire is wondering if Jessica was obeying dog leash laws at the time.  It’s probably not the time to lecture, but just something to think about…

    Happy Belated Birthday, Jessica!

    July 11th, 2008

Yesterday was Jessica Simpson’s 28th birthday.

Popsquire congratulates her on 28 years without any significant pop culture/legal collisions.  She has not had any DUI’s, drug convictions, or other major legal dilemmas.  Even her divorce from Nick was relatively drama free from a legal perspective!

For her birthday, Popsquire wishes her continued absence of legal collisions.  Also, can’t she just get back together with Nick?  It seems like yesterday when he was explaining to her the difference between chicken and tuna, doesn’t it?!?

    Simpsons Slapped With Suit

    February 19th, 2008

According to the NY Post, Jessica and Joe Simpson are now co-defendants in a lawsuit filed in connection with a Speedfit workout video starring Jessica. Alex Astilean, owner of Speedfit, claims that the Simpsons are “hurting millions of fat people in America” by refusing to provide final approval to release the dvd.

    Popsquire’s perspective…

It is common for a celebrity like Jessica Simpson to retain final approval before a product is released into the marketplace. Assuming Jessica retained this contractual right and is exercising it in good faith or consistently with the language of the contract, then the lawsuit may not have any merit.

In the meantime, if you need some motivation to work out, check out Jessica in the “These Boots Are Made For Walking” video.

How can a girl who looks this good be hurting anyone?!?
