Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ordered the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals to re-examine its ruling in the controversial Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction case. Last year, the appeals court overturned the FCC’s $550,000 fine against CBS for the 2004 Superbowl half-time incident, but the Supreme Court now says the lower court must re-consider its decision.
The Supreme Court is full of boobs! Her breast was exposed for nine-sixteenths of one second. That’s it. No fine should be assessed against CBS, and no more judicial resources should be wasted on this case.
Janet Jackson finally did something for her fans lately!
Although Janet recently postponed nine shows due to migraine-associated vertigo, a sell-out crowd in D.C. last night didn’t have to Miss Her Much. Janet not only showed up, but she kicked off the show with a medley of “The Pleasure Principle,” “Control” and “What Have You Done for Me Lately.”
Janet Jackon’s concert cancellations are getting out of Control!
Janet has canceled every concert since September 29 due to illness, and the NY Post reports that she also will pull out of scheduled shows in Washington, DC, New Jersey and Atlanta this week.
Popsquire’s perspective…
Janet’s contract with Live Nation likely requires her to perform a certain number of concerts; however, it also likely has an exception in case she is “disabled.” Popsquire predicts a formal cancellation of the tour will be announced shortly and that it will blame Janet’s illness, even though poor ticket sales (unfortunately) may be the real reason.
