ABC News reports that the divorce is “100 percent on.” Um, ya think?

And, this could be a messy divorce. Although Florida is a “no fault” divorce state, Tiger Woods’ infidelity still could play a huge role in property division and child custody. His wife has a lot of leverage at this point, especially in terms of further destroying his public image if she chooses to speak to the media.
Although the terms of the settlement remain confidential, Brinkley’s attorney confirms that Brinkley withdrew her counterclaims against Cook and says: “The parties’ settlement approved by the judge today does not grant any of the requests in Peter Cook’s motion which dragged Ms. Brinkley back to court.”
Cook’s attorney acknowledges that his client is pleased with the results because: “She didn’t get what she wanted.”
Translation: Neither party got exactly what s/he wanted, which means this was a good settlement. Courts are always happy to see compromise without having to rule from the bench.

And, it couldn’t come at a better time for two reasons: (1) a Los Angeles court just granted Jasmine a divorce, which left her with six-figure debt largely in part due to her ex husband; and (2) her paycheck will no longer be community property, meaning that her ex won’t get a cut of it.
Holy Christie Brinkley! Anne Heche is letting the world know how she feels about her ex, Coley Lafoon, and he’s not liking it.
Following this Letterman appearance, Lafoon told US Weekly: “After coming home from showing two different clients two different condominiums, I was disturbed to see Anne taking out her personal frustration on the father of her child on national television.”
He’s kinda right. Even Kate Gosselin refrained from trashing Jon when she appeared on Larry King. Plus, family law judges often prohibit parents from saying negative things about each other in front of the kids.
Anne should be careful, or she might find herself back in family court!
First, Katherine Jackson obtained official guardianship over Michael Jackson’s kids. Now, Gossip Girl’s Kelly Rutherford finally settled a bitter custody dispute over her two young kids.

Amid the controversy, she gave birth to daughter Helena in June. Now, she and ex Daniel Giersch will share joint legal and physical custody of their two children.
To facilitate joint custody, Rutherford will live in NYC while filming Gossip Girl, and Giersch will live in the Hamptons.
While the country continues to debate the definition of marriage, celebrities have no problem defining divorce. From Usher to Kate Walsh, this is the era of high profile Hollywood divorces. Catch up below.

Last month, Usher filed for divorce from his wife of nearly two years, Tameka Foster-Raymond. The Atlanta Superior Court petition did not give a reason for the split. They have two sons together, Usher Raymond V, born in November of 2007, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, born last December. Foster has three sons from a previous relationship.
At least all of Usher’s kids were born when he filed for divorce!

TMZ has uncovered the sealed Gosselin divorce papers, which state in part: “plaintiff and defendant have been unable to agree as to the equitable distribution” of their marital property. So, now what?

This kind of statement is common in any divorce, especially at the beginning stages. It’s a bit more complicated, however, than typical Hollywood celebrity divorces because, unlike California, Pennsylvania is not a community property state.
It’s an “equitable distribution” state, meaning that marital assets are not automatically split in half but are divided according to several factors, including, among others: (1) each spouse’s contribution; (2) the length of the marriage; (3) the source of each spouse’s income; and (4) who has custody of the children.
Popsquire hopes the family can resolve this dispute easily and without affecting the kids too much. Yikes!
Cue sarcasm. Shocking news: Jon & Kate Gosselin may be divorcing.
Now cue the divorce court battle, which may be more complicated than the typical Hollywood divorce. Unlike California, Pennsylvania is not a community property state.

Let’s hope the kids escape this divorce without too much emotional scarring. Perhaps having cameras follow them around isn’t the best idea right now…
Just weeks after filing for legal separation from his wife, Sean Penn is withdrawing his motion.
This isn’t the first time this couple has done this. In 2007, they filed for divorce and then got back together within months. It’s like they’re a real life Katy Perry song — They’re in. Then, they’re out. They’re up, then they’re down. They’re hot, then they’re cold.
So, why file for divorce if you’re not sure? The answer could be money. A spouse may not be entitled to marital income after the date of court filing for separation.

Robyn Gibson filed for divorce on April 13. Now, TMZ confirms that Mel’s girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, is pregant with his child and in her second trimester. This won’t affect how Mel and Robyn split up their estimated $900 million estate under California’s divorce laws, but maybe Mel should be worried about them Catholic laws…
At least Kelly Rutherford isn’t the only pregnant celeb going through a divorce these days.

Kelis, who is seven months pregnant, cited irreconcilable differences in court documents she filed in Los Angeles yesterday. She is asking for spousal and child support, as well as joint custody of their unborn baby.
Seeking joint custody is a sign of an amicable divorce. If she wanted to be aggressive, she could have asked for sole physical and legal custody of their mini-milkshake.
For Sean and Robin Wright Penn, the second time isn’t the charm.

The couple filed for divorce back in 2007, but quickly got back together and voluntarily dismissed the proceeding. Sean has decided to try for divorce again by filing for legal separation. Now, the question is how much money the divorce will Milk from Sean’s estate in attorneys’ fees, child support, and alimony.
Mel Gibson’s wife of 28 years, Robyn Gibson, filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Without a pre-nup, community property rules in California may require the couple to split their estimated $900 million fortune. Now, that’s Payback!
Tricia Walsh, best known for taking her divorce to YouTube instead of divorce court, has announced that she’s working on a musical. Lucky for us, she’s providing a sneak peek at one of the autobiographical songs, Arm Candy, which features lyrics like: “Nothing but arm candy and a trophy wife.”
Oh, Trisha, don’t be so hard on yourself. You are much more than that. You are a YouTube star! That’s gotta count for something, right?
