Popsquire is worried about the future of Celebrity Apprentice now that Gene Simmons has been fired. Yeah, I gave it away. If you didn’t know, then you aren’t a real fan and deserve to have it spoiled. Just deal, because here’s the real scoop…
Popsquire is mourning the loss of Gene, who has become a reliable source of pop culture/law collisions. In last week’s episode, as Popsquire described in this post, he sparked a discussion about gender discrimination in the workplace.
In this week’s episode, Gene switches teams to manage the women. He says it’s every man’s dream to rule over women. Seriously. Later, Omorosa remarks that Gene isn’t interested in women, unless they are pleasuring him.
Popsquire just knows that it killed Donald to fire Gene. It certainly killed Popsquire. In memory of Gene Simmons, Popsquire asks you to sing along and wave your arms to the Diana Ross classic, “Missing You.”
On last week’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice, Donald Jr. provided us with this discussion about gender discrimination in the work place. Today, Gene Simmons provides us with the same issue! For those of you who haven’t seen last night’s episode, shame on you, but here’s what you need to know…
The celebs must create a 30-second tv commercial to promote dog adoption. Ivanka Trump visits the men’s team, led by Gene Simmons. Instead of addressing Ivanka’s concerns, Gene says she “can wait.” Then, he accuses her of tipping off the women’s team about the men’s concept because she is, after all, part of the female species.
Ivanka is insulted. Discussion later erupts in the boardroom. Trump says, “no one insults my daughter.” Ivanka stands up for herself and elicits an apology from Gene.
Popsquire’s perspective…
Gene’s statements in a work place might be considered harassing behavior, particularly if the behavior continues. In episode two, Ivanka puts Gene on notice that she does not welcome his comments.
Popsquire believes that Ivanka is a role model to all working people. If someone makes statements that offend you, do something about it. Many lawsuits can be avoided if people can learn to communicate more effectively.

Omarosa is back in true form. She is project manager, her team loses, and her survival instinct goes into overdrive to save her own booty. In the boardroom, Donald Jr. criticizes Omarosa for not using her female teammates’ sex appeal to sell hot dogs.
Popsquire’s perspective…
Mr. Trump, be careful letting Junior speak so freely. Insisting that women be sexy to complete a task while not requiring the same of the men might be considered gender discrimination.
