  • Be Careful, Britney!

    According to ExtraTV, Maria Shriver and a friend were overheard at the Beverly Hills Hotel saying that “there ought to be a law against those guys,” referring to the Britney-crazed paparazzi.

    Popsquire trusts that California’s First Lady is aware of current laws, but just in case, Popsquire is here to remind everyone — especially the paparazzi — some laws do exist and must be followed, including:

    1. All traffic laws. Is Popsquire the only one who sees multiple traffic violations in this video?;
    2. Anti-stalking laws; and
    3. Anti-paparazzi laws.

    Popsquire also hopes that City Councilman Zine forges ahead with his proposal to create a “zone of clear space” between the paps and the celebs, as Popsquire previously described here.

    What do you think? Should there be more laws to protect people like Britney Spears from the paparazzi? Or is it just part of celebrity life that we shamefully hope continues?

    Popsquire is watching the helicopters buzz overhead as he awaits your response…

    One Response to “Be Careful, Britney!”

    1. Green says:

      There should absolutely be more laws about this. I don’t care so much about the celebrities, but more the regular people who happen to be driving near them and innocently get in car accidents and such due to aggressive photographers.

      Yet at the same time, celebrities need to take responsibility and realize that despite the old soundbite, negative publicity is not good publicity, and should realize when they really ought to be packing it up and going home to Kentwood to get through their breakdown in private.

      If you do outrageous things, like flashing your girly parts as you enter and exit cars, don’t act surprised at the outrageous lengths the paparazzi will go to in order to snap a pic of your c-section scar.
