During a book signing in London on Wednesday, Leona was punched in the face by a fan after signing his book. She’s fine, but this might be the most random act of violence in pop culture history.
The singer posted this message to her fans on her official website today:
Thank you so much for your support it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I’m very sorry to those I wasn’t able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages.
The attacker was charged with “common assault” and will be evaluated by doctors. Um, even a lawyer can tell you he’s nuts.
