Hayden Panettiere’s Dad Is No Hero
Because you are a faithful Popsquire follower, you likely remember that Hayden’s dad, Alan, was arrested in August for allegedly hitting her mother three times and leaving a bruise after the two left a party. The next day, Alan claimed that the arrest for domestic violence was a “big misunderstanding;” the couple insisted “nothing actually happened” and that “Lesley wasn’t even aware that [Alan] had been arrested.”
Now, according to TMZ, Alan has been charged with misdemeanor battery and is expected back in court next month. If found guilty, his sentence could include up to one year in jail, community service, and/or anger management therapy.

Expect a plea bargain soon. Unfortunately, many couples involved in incidents of domestic violence tell different stories the next day. This is exactly why California authorities and courts have taken the decision to prosecute such crimes out of the hands of the alleged victims. Nonetheless, if the victim does not cooperate or provide supporting evidence, the prosecution’s job becomes more and more difficult.
