  • Popsquire Beat: This Week In Pop Culture And Law

The Popsquire Beat presents this week’s most entertaining collisions between pop culture and law.

    1.  Kevin Bacon goes Footloose on a mugger.

A thief reportedly snatched Kevin’s BlackBerry on a NYC subway and took off running.  Kevin chased down the crook but lost him in the crowded station.   Yup, the thief actually got more than six degrees away from Kevin Bacon.

    2.  Kiefer Sutherland and designer Jack McCollough put their heads together.

After Kiefer allegedly headbutted the designer and broke his nose, the duo issued a joint statement in which Kiefer apologized and McCollough accepted.  Nonetheless, Kiefer is scheduled to appear in NY criminal court on June 22 to face misdemeanor assault charges.  Prediction: Kiefer is a butt head, but he likely won’t be hitting his own head on jail bars any time soon.

    3.  And for this week’s video collision between pop culture and law, American Idol runner-up Katherine McPhee is taking the law into her own hands and endorsing a paprazzi safety service.
