    TMZ reports that because Adnan did not show up to a court hearing today, the judge extended Britney Spears’ restraining order against him for a total of three years.  And, Popsquire followers know what that means.  It’s time for an updated Britney timeline.  Remember, flaschcards are always recommended!

    2007

    Feb. 14-15: Britney checks in and out of Antigua rehab within a 24-hour period.

    Feb. 16: Britney shaves her head BALD.

    Feb. 20-21: Britney checks in and out of Malibu rehab.

    Feb. 21: Britney attacks photographer’s car with an umbrella.

    Feb. 22-March 21: Britney stays in Malibu rehab.

    May 2: Britney performs at House of Blues San Diego, launching a brief tour showcasing 10-15 minute performances in various cities.

    July 6: Britney apologizes for attacking photographer’s car with an umbrella.

    July 30: Britney’s divorce from K-Fed becomes final.

    Aug. 6: Britney, who does not have a valid CA driver’s license, is involved in a minor fender bender with a parked car and leaves the scene.

    Sept. 9: Britney performs at the MTV Video Music Awards.

    Sept. 18: Britney is ordered by judge to submit to random drug tests; the judge concluded that she had engaged in “habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol.” She also must attend parent counseling classes

    Oct. 1: Britney is ordered by judge to give up custody of her kids, at least temporarily, for failure to comply with court orders.

    Oct. 15: Britney turns herself in to be booked on charges arising out of the Aug. 6 fender bender.

    Oct.17: Britney’s visitation rights are suspended by court commissioner until she complies with court orders, including answering phone calls from court-appointed monitor.

    Oct. 20: Britney regains rights to visitation with her children and must be accompanied by court-ordered monitor.

    Oct. 25: Britney’s hit-and-run misdemeanor charge related to Aug. 6 incident is dismissed, but she pleads not guilty to driving without valid CA driver’s license.

    Oct. 29: Britney’s former manager, Johnny Wright, sues for alleged unpaid commission in excess of $15,000.

    Nov. 9: Britney is accused of failing to respond to eight out of 14 drug test requests. As part of the Sept. 19 order, Britney must submit to twice-weekly drug tests and is required of providing a urine sample within six hours of being called.

    Nov. 13: Britney’s album, Blackout, is released and sells almost 300,000 copies in first week.

    Nov. 24: Britney is caught driving through Los Angeles stop signs.

    Dec. 7: Britney is caught on camera taking a lighter without paying.

    Dec. 8: Britney is caught on camera running more Los Angeles stop signs.

    Dec. 11: Britney’s pet store of choice, Pets of Bel Air, is accused of buying puppies from puppy mills.

    Dec. 12: Britney fails to show up at her deposition in her custody case.

    Dec. 18: Britney is ordered to appear for deposition in her custody case in January. Meanwhile, a Florida court clerk enters default against Britney for failing to respond to the lawsuit for alleged unpaid commissions filed by Johnny Wright in October.

    2008

    Jan. 15: Complaint filed against Dr. Phil, arising out of his hospital visit with Britney.

    Jan. 21: Britney attends deposition for approximately 2.5 hours.

    Jan. 23: Britney unsuccessfully seeks to modify court’s no-visitation order. Britney’s lawyers withdraw motion to be relieved as counsel, previously scheduled for Feb. 4.

    Jan. 31: Britney is placed on another 5150 hold, this time at UCLA Medical Center.

    Feb. 1: (a) Britney’s dad and independent lawyer are appointed as conservators of her estate; and (b) Court issues temporary restraining order against Sam Lutfi, prohibiting him from getting near Britney.

    Feb. 3: Britney’s 5150 hold is extended by 14 days.

    Feb. 4: (a) After a court challenge, Brit’s dad and independent attorney remain conservators of her estate at least until Feb. 14; and (b) Amid alleged concerns that Sam Lutfi contacted Britney by telephone, the court confirmed that Lutfi is not permitted to contact Britney, even by telephone or email.

    Feb. 6: (a) UCLA releases Britney from the extended 5150 hold; (b) Maria Shriver introduces herself to Britney; and (c) Britney’s parents release statement to press.

    Feb. 7: Attorneys appear in court regarding Britney; information remains under seal.

    Feb. 13: Court continues Britney’s family law attorneys’ request to be removed as counsel until Feb. 19.

    Feb. 14: (a) Court extends conservatorship until March 10; (b) Bryan Spears and attorney named co-trustees of Britney’s trust; (c) Britney is ordered to undergo a 730 evaluation; and (d) an attorney files a notice to remove Britney’s legal troubles to federal court.

    Feb. 19: (a) Stacy Philips becomes Britney’s new attorney; (b) court denies request for gag order; and (c) parties unable to reach an agreement to permit Britney to resume visitation with kids.

    Feb. 20: Federal court issues tentative order to deny the notice of removal previously filed by attorney Jon Eardley and sets deadline for Eardley to convince the court to change its mind.

    Feb. 21: Sam Lutfi is finally served with restraining order, and court issues extension of order until March 17.

    Feb. 23: Britney resumes visitation with children, supervised by her father and a mental health professional.

    Feb. 26: The federal court judge kicks the Britney Spears conservatorship case back to state court. The judge’s decision is plain and simple: “Mr. Eardley is not Ms. Spears attorney and acted improperly by removing her conservatorship proceeding to federal court.”

    March 5: Court approves an extension of the conservatorship until July 31, 2008.

    March 15: UCLA Hospital takes steps to fire at least 13 employees for snooping into Britney’s private medical records.

    March 17: (a) Court extends restraining order against Sam Lutfi for another month; (b) Court approves Jamie Spears’ decision to sell off some of Britney’s cars; and (c) Court ordered Britney to pay K-Fed’s attorneys’ fees totaling approximately $375,000, a discount from the$500,000 requested.

    April 12: Britney is involved in minor fender bender, allegedly while applying makeup and driving.

    April 17: Court extends restraining order against Lutfi until July 31.

    May 29: The commissioner presiding over Britney Spears’ conservatorship determines that she remains unable to participate “in any meaningful way” in legal proceedings and may need further tests. During a 90-minute closed-door session with lawyers, the commissioner also says that Britney’s doctor “wants to do additional testing.”

    June 6: Jamie Spears asks the Court to authorize payment to him for his services as conservator from January 31 to March 3, 2008.

    June 16: The Los Angeles DA’s office rejects a charge against Britney Spears for allegedly running over a paparazzo’s foot in November 2007 outside of the Beverly Hills Hotel.

    June 17: The conservatorship overseeing Britney Spears’ finances receives court permission to sell Britney’s house located in the Summit, a gated community near Beverly Hills.

    June 18: While Britney is en route to Louisiana to be with her sister, one of her many attorneys obtains an extension of time to resolve charges arising out of her alleged August 2007 hit-and-run accident. The new court date is August 11.

    June 24: Widely respected family law attorney, Laura Wasser, returns to Britney’s legal team, and Los Angeles Commissioner Scott Gordon approves a new visitation/custody agreement that gives Britney overnight visits with her sons.

    July 18: Britney and K-Fed agree to settle their custody battle and submit the agreement to the court for approval.

    July 25: Court approves custody agreement, providing K-Fed with sole physical custody and $20,000 per month in child support. Britney gets increased visitation with the kids.

    July 31: Court decides to keep conservatorship in effect until December 31. Another hearing is expected for October 28 to address the possibility of an earlier termination date.

    Aug 14: In the first interview since her two-year downward spiral began, Britney Spears opens up to OK! Magazine and reveals that: (1) she hopes her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, do not choose a career in entertainment; (2) she believes her sons will be like “big brothers” to Jamie Lynn’s baby, Maddie; and (3) she is writing songs for her new album, describing it as her “best work ever.”

    Sept. 2: A Los Angeles Superior Court judge rejected Britney’s motion to dismiss a misdemeanor charge against her for driving with an invalid license last year.

    Sept. 7: Britney wins three MTV Video Music Awards.

    Sept. 17: Lynne Spears appears on the Today Show, admitting she first lost control when Britney posed for Rolling Stone at age 17 in her bra and panties.

    Sept. 18: Court sets October 15 trial date for Britney’s misdemeanor invalid driver’s license case.

    Sept. 24: Britney puts her house on the market, following the court’s approval to do so in June.

    Sept. 29: Britney’s attorney asks for a stay of proceedings on the invalid driver’s license trial, but the request is denied.

    Oct. 1: Adnan Ghalib quashes rumors of a sex tape starring him and Brit.

    Oct. 8: Britney’s attorney rejects a plea bargain to settle the misdemeanor driver’s license case because the offer included criminal sanctions.

    Oct. 10: Britney debuts Womanizer video on ABC’s 20/20.

    Oct. 15-16: Britney’s misdemeanor invalid driver’s license trial is underway; to persuade jurors that Britney did not need a CA license, Jamie Spears testifies that Britney’s real home is in Louisiana.

    Oct. 17: Britney’s misdemeanor driver’s license trial ends, and jurors begin deliberations.

    Oct. 20: Jurors are deadlocked 12-2, and the judge orders them to continue deliberating.

    Oct. 21: Judge declares mistrial in Britney’s misdemeanor driver’s license case, and prosecutors confirm they won’t seek another trial; GMA schedules Britney to perform live on Dec. 2.

    Oct. 28: Judge decides to make the conservatorship “permanent,” without any objection from Britney.

    Nov. 6: Britney makes surprise appearance during Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet LA concert.

    Nov. 25: After several illegal leaks of Britney’s new album surface on the internet, Britney provides a legal sneak peek on imeem.com.

    Nov. 30: The documentary, “Britney: For The Record,” airs on MTV.

    Dec. 2: Britney celebrates her 27th birthday with the release of Circus and a live Good Morning America performance.

    2009

    Jan. 23: The Parents Television Council warns radio stations no to play Britney’s new single, If You Seek Amy, because when said slowly, it sounds like F-U-C-K ME.

    Jan. 30: Britney obtains restraining orders against Lutfi and Ghalib.

    Feb. 3: Lufti files a lawsuit against Britney and her family for breach of contract, defamation, and battery.  He claims: (1) he had a four-year oral contract with Britney to manage her career and take 15% of her money; (2) Lynne smeared his reputation in her book, Through The Storm; and (3) Jamie punched him in the chest.

    Feb. 9: Britney and K-Fed sign an agreement that will allow Brit to keep her current custody arrangement, even while she’s on tour.  The kids will follow Britney to three hubs — New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles — and Britney will commute back and forth during the tour.   Plus, K-Fed gets an additional $5,000 as part of the deal.

    Feb. 10: Brit’s conservatorship received court permission today to hire two lawyers to defend her in the Lutfi lawsuit.  The combined hourly rate for the attorneys is more than $900!

    Feb. 23: Judge hears testimony on extending restraining order against Lutfi and Ghalib.

    Feb. 24: Police issue a warrant for Ghalib’s arrest for allegedly running his car into a process server, and the DA charges him with three felonies: (1) assault with a deadly weapon; (2) battery; and (3) hit and run.

    Feb. 25: Ghalib pleads not gulty to three felony charges and posts $110,000 in bail; judge extends restraining orders against Lutfi and Ghalib.

    March 2: BritneySpears.com releases official sneak peek of her upcoming tour and announces that Britney is the new face of Candie’s.

    March 3: Britney kicks off the Circus tour in New Orleans.

    March 18: Judge extends restraining order against Adnan Ghalib for three years.
