Police Close To Identifying Source Of Rihanna Leak
For today’s collision among technology, pop culture and law, the LAPD’s internal investigation into the Rihanna photo leak may have identified the computer from which the photo originated.
E! News reports that although the authorities have located the computer, they have not figured out who transferred the image. This seems odd. If the police have password protected computers, it should be easy to figure out who was logged on to the computer, had access to the photo, and transferred it.
Of course, if this person walked away from the computer and didn’t log off, then anyone could have accessed the photo. Then, s/he could have saved it to a thumb drive and emailed it from a non-LAPD email and computer.
