Rihanna Should Get A Restraining Order
It’s time to implement Project Good Girl Gone Legal!
Given recent reports that photos of Rihanna’s “horrific” injuries show “devastating proof of abuse,” it’s time to build a case. Yes, the LAPD may be investigating and the DA’s office likely is examining the evidence, but that doesn’t mean Rihanna — or any other alleged victim — should stand by and do nothing. Here are a few suggestions:
- Get a restraining order against the alleged attacker. A court can order him to stay away, at least temporarily.
- Write down everything that happened. It will help keep the facts straight, including a timeline of events.
- Explore a civil lawsuit. Civil courts can award monetary damages for assault and battery, including any lost income due to an inability to work.
