The Popsquire Beat: Nov. 15-21
The Popsquire Beat provides this week’s most entertaining collisions between pop culture and law. See below for the accompanying podcast. Enjoy!
The Prince of Bahrain says the King of Pop is Bad! As part of an ongoing London trial, the Prince claims he paid Michael Jackson a $7 million advance on two albums, a stage show and a planned autobiography, but Michael never delivered. Michael is telling the Prince to Beat It because the money was a gift. Too bad the Prince can’t give Michael his career back!
In a post on her official website, Pam Anderson provided sage advice for President-elect Barack Obama this week. In addition to promoting vegetarianism as a way to help the environment, Pam says “Government must Castrate every molester-or potential molester.” Well, at least she’s consistently anti-meat.
In a manic collision between pop culture and law, Courtney Love went blog-a-listic on her housekeeper! Courtney posted 60 MySpace blog entries in which she accused her housekeeper of stealing designer duds and even linked to Style.com pictures of the items she claims were stolen. In short, Courtney claims the housekeeper wanted a piece of Celebrity Skin.
Have a great weekend. Remember, please don’t drink and drive.
