Nanny Gate 2008 Update
Nanny Gate 2008 is back in the news!
Because you are a faithful Popsquire follower, you likely remember that Rob and Sheryl Lowe filed three lawsuits in early April against three former domestic workers — two nannies and a personal chef. Since then, the case against the chef has been dismissed, but the nanny cases keep moving forward along with counterclaims for sexual harassment, among other claims.
Today, Rob and Sheryl Lowe’s attorneys filed a litany of declarations in court with lots of juicy statements pertaining to former nanny, Laura Boyce. Among other things, the witnesses (which include David Crosby) claim that Laura had a dirty mouth, as follows:
- While on vacation with the Lowe family, Laura allegedly “stated on several occasions that she only dates ‘black guys’ because of their ‘c**ks.’”
- While having lunch with Sheryl Lowe, Laura allegedly: (a) “began bragging about the size of her boyfriend’s penis;” (b) said “her boyfriend’s penis was the second largest black c**k in the NBA;” and (c) stated she “had to wear a ‘life saver’ so that his penis didn’t rip her p***y apart.”
Popsquire’s perspective…
These declarations likely were filed to show that Laura Boyce was not a victim, but rather openly participated and welcomed in the conduct she now claims damaged her. If true, these declarations certainly may help the Lowe family at this stage of litigation. However, they also leave a lingering question about judgment — why did Rob and Sheryl continue to leave this woman in charge of their kids if they didn’t like her potty mouth? Or, maybe they did…
