Ricky Martin is a new dad!
He welcomed twin boys via a surrogate mother a few weeks ago, and his rep now confirms: “The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care.”

Some states require a contract among all parties to the surrogacy birthing arrangement, and there are often requirements that the contract address certain issues. Even without such a requirement, it makes sense to enter into a contract with the surrogate in the event that a dispute develops between the parent and the surrogate as to biological parenthood, parental rights, and custodial aspects of the child to be born.
