Pets of Bel Air: Karma Chameleon?
The infamous Pets of Bel Air is now offering dog adoption! Since the Humane Society accused the store of buying from puppy mills in December and a class action lawsuit followed, the store has been bombarded by protesters and media attention.
Is this an attempt to restore karma? Kinda like when Philip Morris sponsors anti-smoking ads…
PS: The dogs for sale are on display inside the air conditioned store, while the rescue dogs sit outside on the sidewalk.
Give me a break, these owners, Tom & Cory or the lowest of low, using the poor dogs rescued from the shelter to get Best Friends and Last Chance for Animals off their backs. But no way, until they stop selling puppies, kittens & rabbits, they will never let up! Go humane POBA show some compassion, we all know there are 400 puppy mills in Palmdale, Lancaster & Kern County so don’t fool the public with your local breeders B.S.
Watch out pet stores that sell puppies you are next.
They would never have even thought of homeless dogs if it wasn’t for the investigation , the bad press and the protests.
It’s great that pound dogs are finally getting a chance but they are still unethical, being supplied by mills. You still have to ask yourself, where are the parents of the pups? They’re in cages…for life. That’s wrong, no matter what they do to look good.
I wish they would ONLY do adoptions and then we would all promote them for going humane.
Hey that just gave me a great idea! How about we picket Crack Houses until they open an In-House Recovery Unit, that way they can still kill ruin peoples lives and save them at the same time! Just a thought.

So now the people that sell Bunnies , Kittens and PUppies all from pet factories (MILLS) are trying to save face and go humane?
How about being honest and saying that they are trying to save face because they have been exposed and business is hurting!
We are not dumb and you can’t sell animals (for a great profit) and save them for the shelter too so you can look good .

Some dog adoption-what a joke. They are going to the East Valley Shelter-getting the dogs for $75. each and then “SELLING” them for $350. saying it is an adoption fee. Who is the fee going to??? Pets of Bel Air that’s who. EWE!
Hey, I wonder if this is illegal in some way????? They are promoting it as a dog adoption from the East Valley Shelter and making it sound as if that money is going to the East Valley Shelter. Maybe the LA County Animal Care and Control should be told about this??
