According to E! Online, Denise Richards is “very happy with today’s outcome,” referring to the hearing on a motion on that her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, filed in court this morning.
“Today’s proceedings had to do with custody issues regarding their children…and we were very pleased [the commissioner] gave us the time he did,” Richards’ attorney, Neal Hersh, told E! News. “And Denise is very, very happy with the commissioner’s decision.
The exact nature of Sheen’s motion remains unclear, but many speculate that it was likely tied to their kids’ alleged failure to appear for visitation earlier this week.
Popsquire’s perspective…
When it comes to visitation disputes, judges often must make decisions based on “he-said-she-said” testimony and have to make credibility determinations. If kids miss their visitation, both parents often blame each other.
Sometimes, kids may not want to visit with the other parent, which could be caused by the custodial parent’s purported “poisoning” them about the other parent, or it could be for wholly independent reasons. This is what makes family court difficult and fascinating at the same time!
In this case, there clearly is no love lost between Denise and Charlie, so Popsquire definitely will be keeping you posted!
