Warren G Not In The Weeds?
Warren G’s reps just released this statement about yesterday’s arrest for marijuana possession:
“They were in the Hollywood area for Kanye’s party. He was a passenger asleep in the front seat when the car was pulled over. They charged him because he didn’t debrief. Whatever was found wasn’t his, it was in the car.”
Two of the elements the prosecution must prove in any drug possession case is (1) knowledge of the substance’s presence and (2) knowledge of the substance’s character as a controlled substance. If the car was not G’s and the pot was not found in his bag, he may have a solid basis for contesting the knowledge element and beating any charges.
Of course, he may not escape the verbal beating he deserves for letting his reps drag Kanye West into the mix!
Update: The DA released these papers, stating that Warren G will not be charged with any drug crimes. He’s definitely out of the weeds!
