Amy Winehouse Shall Overcome
The collision between pop culture and law has no boundaries, as evidenced by the AP’s report that the United States has denied Amy Winehouse’s visa request to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Just like a good celebrity, though, Ms. Winehouse is using technology to overcome the laws and will perform via satellite. She’s probably better off anyway…airport security might take for-e-ver to search through that beehive!
UPDATE, Feb. 8: According to TMZ, although the U.S. now has granted Winehouse’s visa request, she will remain in England and perform via satellite.
