Britney Still Barred From Children
Just like Popsquire predicted on January 14, Britney Spears’ attorneys filed an emergency application with the court this morning asking for a modification to the court’s recent order that stripped Britney of all child visitation and custody rights. The application was not successful, which means no custody, no visitation, no kids…at least temporarily.
Popsquire’s perspective….
This actually is somewhat surprising. As Popsquire explained previously, family law judges typically hope to keep families together. Indeed, judges often allow monitored and/or limited visitation for troubled parents, including those with criminal records, history of drug abuse, and mental disorders.
Popsquire’s position…
The denial may based on the procedure used by the attorneys. By asking for an emergency hearing, the attorneys may have jumped the gun. Perhaps, the court is waiting until more time passes to examine Britney’s behavior and progress.
In addition, although Britney showed up to the courthouse, PageSix reports that she did not make it to the courtroom. As a result, the judge likely did not have any new evidence to consider.
One thing Popsquire knows for sure is that this ain’t ovah! That’s probably why I keep hearing this OK Go hit in my head…
