Touched By The Law: Celebrity Apprentice, Ep. 2
On last week’s episode of Celebrity Apprentice, Donald Jr. provided us with this discussion about gender discrimination in the work place. Today, Gene Simmons provides us with the same issue! For those of you who haven’t seen last night’s episode, shame on you, but here’s what you need to know…
The celebs must create a 30-second tv commercial to promote dog adoption. Ivanka Trump visits the men’s team, led by Gene Simmons. Instead of addressing Ivanka’s concerns, Gene says she “can wait.” Then, he accuses her of tipping off the women’s team about the men’s concept because she is, after all, part of the female species.
Ivanka is insulted. Discussion later erupts in the boardroom. Trump says, “no one insults my daughter.” Ivanka stands up for herself and elicits an apology from Gene.
Popsquire’s perspective…
Gene’s statements in a work place might be considered harassing behavior, particularly if the behavior continues. In episode two, Ivanka puts Gene on notice that she does not welcome his comments.
Popsquire believes that Ivanka is a role model to all working people. If someone makes statements that offend you, do something about it. Many lawsuits can be avoided if people can learn to communicate more effectively.
Popsquire’s new mantra: Live like Ivanka.
